Winter has passed! It's still cold in Minnesota, but there is no snow on the ground and we were teased with a few days of spring weather. We enjoyed many winter activities here this year, including cross country skiing, sledding, hiking and downhill skiing. Next winter Isabella will begin ski lessons and continue ice skating.
We're excited about spring, however! Our backyard is looks so different without the snow, and I'm starting to remember what I loved about it when we saw our house for the first time. There is a great garden in back and lots of different trees and little paths for the kids to explore. Once the leaves come in, we will have a lot of privacy, too!
Nana and Gaba came for a great visit in January. The grandparents and kids went to the Mall of America, and had a fun time exploring Eden Prairie together. Will was able to say "Gaba" and "Nana" by that time, and continues to ask for them regularly.
Our family traveled to California in early March to visit Ah-Gong and Ah-Mah, Aunt Amy, Teresa, Ulrik and Izzy and Will's cousins Aleks and Erik. It was so much fun to see all the kids play together. Of course I filled up on my mom's cooking, too. Ulrik wrote on their blog and posted pictures from the visit. We visited a redwood forest, wine country, The Bay Area Discovery Museum, Tiburon, Pleasanton.
