It finally feels like summer is here, and we're all healthy and active. I had a rough couple weeks after pulling a back muscle, followed by a neck muscle, followed by a cold. I had to take a break from running to recover from everything, and I feel behind on training now. I still have 3 months, so I'm sure I'll get back on track very soon!

Since our last post, we went out east to see Auntie Carley and Uncle Jeff get married in Newport, RI. We had a couple days in Framingham, so we we're also able to relax with Granny, Big Grandma, Nana, Gaba, Auntie Lindsay, Auntie Liz, and Uncle Steve. It was also great to see Uncle Ryan, Heather, and Dave, along with many other relatives at the wedding. Carley was a beautiful bride!

Other things that have happened:
Will is still scooting along furniture but took his first independent step yesterday! I don't think he even realized he did it. His favorite way to get around is to push something (e.g. a plastic box) and "walk" on his knees. of course, he also crawls. He also enjoys walking on his feet while pushing around anything on wheels.

Will is saying a few words now: Dada, More ("ma ma" means "more", not "mama"), Izzy, hi ("hahhh"), and balloon ("boo"), ball ("gall"). I think he understands more than I know. If I ask him to get the ball or duck and he will. He also has started signing "more", but this means more of something that's good, whether that's being picked up or fed or something else.

Isabella loves to read. she reads when she wakes up, during the day, and before she goes to bed. She reads signs when were out and cereal boxes when we're having breakfast. She still plays make-believe a lot; she must say "let's pretend I'm a..." at least 10 times a day. It will be a sad day when she stops saying that.

We also just learned that she got the morning kindergarten class at the public school! I requested this so she could attend the public school in the morning and still go to Seton in the afternoon. I can't believe she will be going to school all day now. I will miss her terribly, but I know she's ready for it. She is definitely mature enough and would welcome the stimulation. I am eager to hear about her experiences at both schools and how they compare.

Now for some pictures from the last few weeks:

Tired flower girl - after Auntie Carley's wedding (thanks for the pic, Nana)

Obviously, Will had fun too!

Isabella LOVES rides. We've been hitting all the local festivals/carnivals.

I tried to take a cute picture of Will trailing at the end of the line of ducks waddling away, but I couldn't get my camera out in time.

We surprised Mike at work on his birthday and had a big cake made for him and his department. Isabella picked out the design, which was a big pink and purple butterfly!

Isabella hiding so she could surprise Daddy.
Since she lost her two bottom teeth, she's been "smiling" like this.

Will is 11.5 months old.

Took Isabella on a Wacky Pirate Cruise with a few of her friends!

This weekend Isabella opened the "Home Food Restaurant" and Daddy was the first customer.

Welcome to the Home Food Restaurant!

I like how Will's hand is on Mike's shoulder.

Isabella on the ferris wheel with her buddy, Dylan. she found it a little bit scary, as you can see by the expression on her face.

Lastly, a sweet picture from today of brother and sister playing side-by-side. Will loves being around Isabella!
