Summer is finally here and Isabella is officially a kindergartener! We've enjoyed having the afternoons free and have already gone on some field trips- the Museum of Science and Industry, Children's Museum and we're going to the Arboretum tomorrow. Isabella started her rock climbing class and is continuing judo. We've also started her at a more serious ballet studio, Salt Creek Ballet.
Isabella has been having difficulty getting to sleep at a reasonable hour. She keeps falling asleep around 10p, even though we have her in bed by 8:30. In the daytime, she's always complaining that she's tired. She's suddenly become afraid of the dark, too. We're working on all of these issues.
Will is still large and in charge. He's able to scoot around the entire house now, but still hasn't taken his first independent steps. He's starting to really communicate and understands many words... fish, up, no, ball, goodnight, eat... to name a few. I believe his first deliberate word was said a few days ago, "ball". He's lots of fun but lots of work since he's so busy every moment he's awake!
"NO GOING HERE. THAIR IS A BEAR FOOT OUT OF THIS TENT THAT BELOS TO A BEAR!"
We worked on lots of origami animals and picture frames last week. (Thanks Teresa and Ulrik for the paper from Japan!). The frames on the right turned out great and we used them as presents for Isabella's teachers.
Will loves interacting with ppl around him. Here he's bobbing his head to the side and waiting for me to do the same. Then we laugh together. Subscribe to Posts [Atom]
