Today is Isabella's 4 and 3/4 birthday, and William's 5 month b-day. It's a big week for Will-- he graduated to a bigger car seat since he's officially over 20 lbs, so I no longer have the convenience of carrying him around in the infant carrier. It's going to make for a harder winter since I will need to actually put big coats on him to go out (rather than blankets and the BundleMe over the infant carrier), and I'm not sure yet how I'm going to go grocery shopping with him since he's still not able to sit up on his own in the shopping carts. I think I'll have to strap him on the baby bjorn.
Also, today was William's first day of solid food. We gave him oatmeal, and he enjoyed it!
As always, Isabella is a great kid. Along with a TON of awesome presents from her relatives (pictures to come soon), she got rollerskates for Christmas from Santa, and has spent the past few days rolling around our house. By spring, she should be ready for flips at the skate park.
Isabella's curiosity continues to amaze me. I love learning with her...Her current interest is the solar system, so we have spent the last week reading about the different planets and listening to Holst's The Planets. Her favorite movement is Jupiter (Bringer of Jollity), because she said he sounds like a superhero. Her favorite planet is Uranus, because it's her favorite color, light blue.
We also worked on this big painting of our solar system. She's very proud of it!

Isabella's also decided she no longer likes princesses. I caught her in the act of cutting up her dresses! She was cutting them up "to make warm clothes for my space ship and rockets"
Last weekend we went up to Park Ridge for the Crampton's cookie decorating party. It was a blast, and best of all, we got to see the amazing Mama Meade, Papa Sean and Baby Henry outside of the hospital.

And we got to see him awake too

I think Will is starting to look more like Mike. Here is a picture of Mike the day he got a haircut. Now he and Will have the same hair!

Right now we're waiting for Ah-Gong's flight to arrive. Ah-Mah is in Taiwan right now so she's not able to make this trip to Chicago. Whe weather has been awful in Chicago for the past week, and although today's temperature was mild (55-60) we are now experiencing flooding, heavy rains, fog, and a tornado watch. Ah-Gong's flight is delayed and may possibly be cancelled.
At any rate, Isabella's excited to see her Ah-Gong!
