We had a truly relaxing trip to Boston to visit family. It seems that everyone is living on the east coast-- we were able to see Granny and Big Grandma, Gaba and Nana, Auntie Teresa and Uncle Ulrik, Auntie Carley, Pa and Great-Grandma, and finally Cousin Cassidy, Auntie Carol and Uncle Bob!
Among many other things-- we went with Nana to Drumlin Farm Wildlife Sanctuary, walked through Cambridge with Auntie T, visited Old Sturbridge Village with Granny, saw Gaba's a capella concert (The Silk Tones), and participated in Nana's aerobics class. Isabella also had fun playing with her cousin Cassidy and seeing all her relatives in Worcester.
Things are busy here in Westmont. We had a nice visit from Isabella's great-Aunt Dorothy, and we went to the Morton Arboretum during some great weather. A few weeks ago, Auntie Liz and Uncle Steve also came for a quick visit. It's been wonderful seeing so many family members over the last few months.
Isabella is loving her tumbling, swimming and sports classes. So far, she has learned how to play basketball and hockey in her sports class, and next week she will try the climbing wall. She loves climbing our trees in the back of our yard, so I think she'll have a great time.
She also had a little Mother's Day celebration at school on Friday, so she and I got dressed up and went together. All the kids had made little lavender-scented eye pouches and all moms got hand massages from their kids :) Isabella sang songs such as "I love Mama" and prepared a snack of strawberries for me.
Isabella loves to sing... she's constantly singing or humming (in fact she's humming at the moment while playing with big metal Tonka trucks from Mike's childhood-- thanks Granny and Big Grandma for sending them over)
Isabella (Snow White) and Rachel (Princess Aurora)

Sturbridge Village
Isabella channeling her Evita
Hitching a ride on Daddy at Old Sturbridge Village
Granny took Isabella to a ceramics studio where Isabella painted a shark for Daddy's office
Isabella's best buddy, Grace, came over for a playdate:
Having a tea party
Playing in the moon sand
dressing up, of course
learning how to shoot hoops at sports class
The Mother's Day party at Isabella's preschool

This morning we rode our bikes to Starbucks
Iisabella had chocolate milk while Daddy had a decaf cappuccino.
At Starbucks, reading "How Animals Talk". She is laughing at the blue-footed boobies' name.
Playing with her Daddy's 25 year old toy trucks and cars
