Isabella had the flu last week and Mike is now sick. I have been really obnoxious about cleaning/sanitizing my hands and trying not to catch it. the winter has been really long this year. I can't wait for spring!

So the big news of the day is that we are going to have a baby boy! Today was the 20-week ultrasound, and baby Doyle looks perfect and is growing well so far. In fact, the gestational age was measuring 2.5 weeks ahead- making the due date actually the end of July/beginning of August! Either that, or he is going to a big baby... I hope not any bigger than Isabella was at birth (8lbs 4oz).

Also exciting--yesterday was Isabella's 4th birthday, and Ah-Gong and Ah-Mah flew in for a couple days just to celebrate with her. It was a fun day filled with family, food, and whatever else Isabella wanted that day. We went to Benihana's and she had fun watching the hibachi chefs cook in front of her. We also went to the mall to ride the trains, and her grandparents let her pick out a couple of birthday toys from the store. Finally, we had cake and she opened all her presents. Thanks to everyone who remembered her birthday. She felt so special :) I've been asked to read her all her birthday cards about 4 times already.

Tomorrow she will have another birthday party with her friends. Mike and I are making a fresh strawberry whipped cream cake. I hope it turns out well. The theme is fire trucks, and I arranged for the kids to have a tour of the local fire station. Isabella can't wait to climb all over the fire trucks. I'll post pictures, of course.

Introducing Baby Doyle:

He is lying on his back (see spine) with his head on the right.

He has his Daddy's huge bicep muscles.

Comments:
That's great news about your new boy! Congrats! The ultrasounds look great, the one of the spine is very interesting.

Hope you're feeling well, both avoiding the flu and with the pregnancy.
