Home, Home on the Range

A great birthday party today for our girl-- 10 friends came over to celebrate, and we all walked to the fire station down the street. The firefighters were really enthusiastic and good with the kids. We got a tour of the station, sat in and learned all about fire trucks, fire engines and ambulances, and watched one fireman put on all his gear. Afterwards, we came back to our house for games, playtime, and cake. The cake Mike and I made was awesome. It had fresh strawberries, mascarpone cheese filling and whipped cream frosting.
