Isabella wakes up happy each morning and is bursting with energy until her head hits the pillow each night. Thankfully, I've begun the second trimester of my pregnancy, so I can now make it through each day without napping. Where does she get all the energy? Shouldn't she be using a lot of it to grow?

Well, she loves all her activities and is so curious about the world. We typically go somewhere together in the morning-- usually somewhere she can be active (swim, gym, indoor playground), meet with playgroup friends, the library or bookstore for story time, reading and play, or a special trip to one of our favorite zoos, museums or parks. We usually have lunch and play at home before she goes to preschool at 1:30pm each day.

Isabella loves books! We probably read about 25 books a day to her, and she's definitely interested in learning to read by herself. One of her teachers gave her special praise last week... she said Isabella knows the sounds of all the letters of the alphabet, and she asked if we work on them with her at home. The teacher said she is the only 3 year old in her classes who knows them. We are so proud of her.

Barnes & Noble has a small "stage", which they use for story time. Isabella enjoys standing on it and singing her own songs, like "I love ponies".

This was a cool video exhibition/game at the Chicago Children's museum. It snapped Isabella's picture, and she became the bee, flying around the city of Chicago.

Chicago Children's museum-- she probably spent about 15 minutes driving a CTA bus.
