So Isabella and I just had a wonderful hour painting side-by-side, while listening to the Brazilian Girls (aka "my phat beats", according to Isabella). She is interested in learning about color theory now and was having fun mixing different colors to see what they made. We were painting a still life with squashes-- lots of nice autumn colors. Her final painting ended up being a big gray blob, but she learned a lot in the process!
I enjoy painting again. Mike is so supportive... he thinks all my paintings are the greatest, even when I'm embarrassed by some of them. I'm also really inspired by the German artist Edward B. Gordon: http://www.edwardbgordon.blogspot.com/. I'd love to own one of his pieces. I'm honored to be hosting his anniversary painting as it goes on tour around the world.
Here are some pictures from last week. I can't find my camera right now, but hopefully I find it very soon.
Happy Thanksgiving, y'all!
