Halloween was really busy this year... this is the first year that Isabella really got into it. We bought her costume back in September, which were battery-powered flapping monarch butterfly wings. however, she decided that she wanted to reuse her costume from last year-- the chubby purple dragon.
Ah-gong and Ah-mah are here visiting for the week, so they took her trick-or-treating. I think they visited maybe 10 homes before Isabella wanted to go home. It had been a long day already; we went to a playgroup halloween party at Taylor and Abby's house, followed by a halloween party at school. I volunteered at her school party...it was interesting because it was the first time Isabella had to really "share" my attention, and she actually had a very difficult time with it. To make a long story short, she had a bit of a meltdown, and she now understands what the word "jealous" means. However, we had a nice little chat about it, and I think the next time I'm in class, she'll feel better about me helping her friends.
