Hi folks!
Isabella and I returned from Atlanta- had a great visit with my parents. We visited the Center for Puppetry Arts, where we saw a Winnie-the-Pooh puppet show, the Atlanta Children's museum , which was great, yet not crowded, and the annual Japanfest. A good friend of mine (Roni's mom), totally turned me onto Japanese Taiko drumming, and we got to see some good drumming at the festival. I'd love to learn how to play one day. Anyway, we are back home and looking forward to a visit this weekend from Gaba, Nana, AND Auntie Teresa and Uncle Ulrik!
Today, Isabella and I went on a field trip with her preschool to the Garfield Park Conservatory to see the Niki in the Garden exhibition-- featuring the sculptures of Niki de Saint Phalle. It was fantastic...I urge you all to see if it you are in Chicago.
I just returned from painting class. I was struggling tonight, spent 2/3 of the time trying to mix the right colors, and only covered a small bit of my canvas by the end of the class. I am rusty. I can't wait until painting is fun again!
Niki in the Garden, at the Garfield Park Conservatory. Isabella is standing in front of two of "The Three Graces". i tried to get her to dance like the sculptures, but she wouldn't.
