Okay, no pictures because we left our camera at our friends' block party this past weekend. Some Chicago firemen stopped by for a bit and opened the hydrant so it was spraying water for the kids. We got some really good pictures of Isabella playing in the water. She loved it.

I've been feeling really weird the last couple days after hearing that a former roommate of mine was killed in a car accident on Monday. She was the last roommate I had before Mike and I moved in together, and she and I really hadn't been friends for a few years. I keep having all these flashbacks, like our impulsive 4-day trip to Paris over Valentine's day one year when we were both single, or how she always made chicken on her foreman grill. I heard that she was dating someone for the past 8 months and was very happy. She was actually leaving his place to go back to her place when she got into the accident. For some reason, that is really comforting for me to know that she died happy. I'm going to the wake tomorrow evening with an old friend from college, whom I also haven't seen or spoken to in a very long time. It's a really terrible way to get back in touch with old friends. :(
