Had a great trip to San Francisco last week. Mike was speaking at a conference, so we stayed in a hotel in Japantown the first two days. We stayed at my sister, Teresa's apartment over the weekend. She lives in a hip area called South Market, and is right next to the Yerba Buena Gardens. I took Isabella there each morning. She loves riding carousels, so we did that a few times. We also attended a toddler art class at Children's art museum located in the Gardens.

Mike and I had a day to ourselves on Saturday while Teresa took Isabella to the San Francisco Zoo. We had a great time, and we hear that Isabella and T did as well. Mike and I did some super-touristy things like ride the cable car to Fisherman's Wharf, passing the Lombard Street (crooked street). We rented bikes and rode across the Golden Gate Bridge into Sausalito. It was a lovely ride.

Isabella and I also got to see my Aunt Amy, Uncle and Cousin, who also live in the Bay area. They hadn't seen Isabella in person yet, so that was fun to finally be able to show her off.

Overall, it was a wonderful trip. Thanks to Teresa for letting us take over the apartment!
