Thanks to everyone for all the sweet emails! We are all doing great and starting to get back into the swing of things. Isabella is 9 days old and Mike and I are now adjusted to a new schedule of sleeping in 3 hour increments. Mike is taking the rest of this week off on paternity leave. It's wonderful having him around full time.
We've had loads of help from those around us, which has made it so much easier on us as we get to know our little girl. Special thanks to Grandpa and Grandma Ou, Gramps and Nanna, Aunt Teresa and Uncle Lawrence for helping us during her first week of life, and to Grandmother Doyle and Great-Grandmother Fect for the frequent telephone calls and love... we are looking forward to having you both over very soon!
As for the little one, she is learning and growing so much...she had her first pediatrician appointment and has already gained 8 oz (which is a fine reward for constantly feeling so tired from her frequent feedings)! She is nearly 9 lbs now...what a little roly-poly. :)
