Getting there by air
If you will be flying to our wedding, there are three options:
The closest airport to Grand Haven is Muskegon Airport (airport code MKG), which is 15 minutes away. These flights seem reasonably priced; e.g. from Boston Logan on 9/19 (Friday), returning 9/21 (Sunday), the cheapest price I found was $225 on Northwest (not a direct flight, stopover in Detroit).
The second option is to fly to Grand Rapids, which is about 45 minutes from Grand Haven. Advantages- there are more flights and airlines flying to this airport since it's than Muskegon, and it's more likely to be a direct flight. The cheapest flight I found was $221 on US Airways.
The last option is to fly into Chicago (O'Hare or Midway), and either drive up to Grand Haven (about 3 hours), or Mike or I can try to arrange a ride for you with one of the Chicago locals who are driving up. If this is the plan, please call or email us about that as soon as possible so we can start to make arrangements. I found a $200 fare on American for Boston --> Chicago O'Hare. However, there may be cheaper options on discount airlines such as Southwest or Air Tran, which all fly to Chicago.
